"If an ear be struck off, let bot be made with twelve shillings. If the mouth or an eye be injured, let bot be made with twelve shillings. For the smallest disfigurement of the face, three shillings; and for the greater, six shillings. If a foot be cut off, let fifty shillings be paid."
Where We Practice
With respect to its trial practice, Harris & Greenwell practices principally in the district courts of the State of Texas in the counties of Nueces and surrounding counties, including Aransas, Bee, Cameron, Duval, Goliad, Hidalgo, Jim Hogg, Jim Wells, Live Oak, McMullen, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, Victoria, Willacy, Webb, and Zapata, although its lawyers are licensed to practice in Texas State courts anywhere in the State of Texas.
With respect to its appellate practice, Harris & Greenwell practices principally in the 13th Court of Appeals in Corpus Christi and Edinburg, but has also filed briefs or argued before the 3rd Court of Appeals in Austin, the 4th Court of Appeals in San Antonio, the 8th Court of Appeals in El Paso, the Texas Supreme Court and the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals in Austin, Texas, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in New Orleans, Louisiana, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in Cincinnati, Ohio and the United States Supreme Court in Washington, D.C.
